Graphic design, for me, started back in 2006, I’m talking MySpace layouts and PaintshopPro (Yikes!) In middle school I navigated the world of html/css and bad typography. As much as I’m glad my old graphic design is lost on some old Dell desktop, I’m also appreciative of the skills procured and innovation discovered along the way.

I was able to continue my love of graphic design in high school where I took every graphic design class possible, including AP and finished my portfolio, but…now for a detour!

My freshmen year of college I started off pursuing a graphic design major, but promptly switched to Art Education after reflecting on all the people who inspired me to enjoy art!

I absolutely loved Art Education, and spent 6 years as an Elementary Art teacher. Encouraging young creative minds was MY JAM! And showing up for those kids everyday was an absolute joy.

I learned more than I could have ever imagined as a teacher, and teaching gave me the foundation to become a better mom.

So that’s where my son comes in! He’s the coolest little guy on the planet, no joke! With all his coolness, comes some challenges; he was born with a few medical anomalies, so we’re in all the therapies. But no sweat, because as a former teacher, I’m all about getting that early intervention! This did lead me to the tough decision to leave teaching, but I’m now able to work from home and help our resilient rockstar with his busy schedule!
